Pocket GPS + motion meter for anything that goes fast · Coming 2027
GOAT PUCK rides in your pocket, on your dash, your bars, your board or your saddle and records speed, pitch, roll, yaw and every g you pull. No cell radio, no account required, nothing leaves the puck until you tap sync. Then see it all in the GOAT app and stack it against the herd.

Location
Example readout. Speed and distance are GNSS-timed at 25 Hz; attitude and g come from a 200 Hz inertial sensor, and the two check each other so a bad satellite view can’t hand you a number you didn’t earn. Location is recorded only when you switch it on.
How it works
One button, one light ring, no screen to look at when you should be looking down the track. The puck rides in a pocket, on a tank bag, or on the dash with the magnetic pad.
Tap the button. The ring goes amber and the puck stages itself, watching for the launch — no phone, no pairing, no tapping “start” at the line.
Go. Launch detection comes from the accelerometer, not the GPS noise floor, so the clock starts when the tires do.
Position, speed, heading and g in three axes, fused on the puck. It figures out on its own whether that was a drag pass, a lap, a trail, or a hill climb.
Green pulse for a personal best. The data sits in the puck until you sync — and a long press burns the whole log if you’d rather it never existed.
Who it’s for
The puck doesn’t care what it’s strapped to. If it moves fast enough to brag about, GOAT PUCK can time it, measure it, and prove it.
Built for the local strip and the backyard hill first. Where it goes from there is up to the herd — we’d like to see a puck on a podium someday.
Private by design
Your phone knows where you are, who you called, and what you searched. A phone timing app adds your top speed to that file — and uploads it to someone’s leaderboard by default. GOAT PUCK has no cell radio, no Wi-Fi, and no idea who you are until you decide to tell it. Everything you sync lives in your private GOAT account, and only you decide what the herd gets to see.
Unless you’ve switched location on, the puck has already thrown away the coordinates before you sync. It keeps the shape of your run and a coarse, scrambled venue code — enough to tell Byron from Bandimere, never enough to tell anyone which road you were on.

Want to see exactly where it all happened? Location is an opt-in switch on the puck, the ring shows a different color when it’s on, and the map is visible to you alone unless you share it.

The puck classifies each run from the motion itself and picks the numbers that matter for it. Same puck in the Corvette on Saturday, on the sled in January, and on the surfboard in July. Motorsports modes ship first; more disciplines roll out as the herd brings them.
The herd
Timing boxes have measured runs for years. What they don’t do is tell you where you stand. In the GOAT app you line your run up against riders and drivers doing the same thing — same discipline, same class, same venue if you want it — from the next lane over to the other side of the world.
Ranking is governed by the herd, not by us. Every posted run can be rated by other members: respect for a clean pass, a flag for one that doesn’t add up. Runs that earn respect climb; runs the herd doesn’t buy sink. Beat someone’s score and they’ll see exactly what you did to beat it.

Ratings come from members who’ve posted a run in the same discipline. Flagged runs stay visible to their owner and drop off the board.
For performance shops
Shop mode pairs a puck to a laptop — no customer account needed — so you can record a baseline, do the work, and overlay the after run on top of it before the car leaves the lot. Bundle a puck with every build and your shop badge rides along on your customers’ runs and the shop leaderboard.

Roadmap
We’re shipping the simplest thing that can be trusted, then building out from there. Every generation syncs to the same GOAT account, so your history comes with you.
Generation 1 · in development
A sealed puck you keep in a pocket, stick to a dash, or strap to whatever you ride — car, bike, sled, board. One button, one light ring, days of battery.
Generation 2
A puck that sees and hears the run: 3D cameras and a microphone, with your stats laid over the footage in the GOAT app so the number and the moment live in the same clip.
Where you’ll find it
The first batch goes to partner performance shops and the early herd. From there the plan is the same as any piece of gear worth owning: local shops, then the electronics aisle wherever you already buy your toys.
